When you stand on top of some pressure-sensitive spot, say like where you would naturally put your left foot while standing next to one of these carts, it becomes activated and begins to run on battery power. To activate the trunk, you only need to place your hand on a sensor embedded on the handle of the cart which allows it to be opened. This type of luggage cart uses electromagnetic induction technology to charge itself whenever these sensors are activated.

These days, most high-end hotels offer mobile apps for iPhone and Android smartphones that their guests can download onto their devices to do everything from check-in/out, make or change reservations, request services like extra towels or pillows, book spa appointments, etc. The best part about these apps is that they are connected to the hotel’s service automation software, which means that it all goes towards improving the guest’s overall experience.
